A nossa selecçao
Would I be a good portuguese if I didn't make this post? this is certainly one of the things I love most about my country...or at least one of the things that makes me suffer more (even after our sad defeat in Euro 2004 final). :)
Last Friday, we knew that we will have Angola, Mexico and Iran in our World Cup 2006 group. Interestingly, Angola (portuguese ex-colony, independent in 1975) is our first opponent in their first World Cup participation.

Our soccer team makes the whole country stop in occasions like the European Championship and the World Cup.
And I'm sure that this time won't be an exception. I can't wait until June!

Quite a few of the portuguese players are playing in Chelsea and Manchester United. :-) I think that Portugal will easily win their group stage...
And I am also really looking forward to the World Cup, though football is not a big thing in my country ;-)
