Nunca me cansarei de ler o que ele escreve e adorei este pequeno "Quase um auto-retrato" que deixou no seu site oficial.
Stop climate change
this is why I feel slightly better now about flying so often with Virgin-Express.
and a good reason to keep flying with them.

Nani
This kid is becoming a serious case of talent. Today he scored for Sporting (Spartak 1 - Sporting 1) and saved us from losing. I bet that by the end of the season he will leave Sporting to a big team abroad.
We may not be experts in winning championships, but we are certainly experts in making talents. For those of you who don't know this: Cristiano Ronaldo, Luis Figo and now Nani (not widely known yet, but give him some time) are all "products" of the same football schools: the schools of Sporting Clube de Portugal.

how tired can you get?
that's what I ask myself, as I find myself listening to the same songs over and over again. everyday, several times a day, I listen to the same three pop songs
I belong to you - Anastacia and Eros Ramazotti
What's left of me - Nick Lachey
Other side - KT Kunstall
Why?
maybe because it reminds of summer and I don't want to let go of it... maybe because I'm a romantic fool....maybe because my brain is a strange place...or maybe just because I'm too lazy to change the CD inside the CD player....

Fall starts
This post comes a bit in delay, but I hadn't yet noticed that Fall started on Saturday. Worst than this, only the day when the clocks will be one hour in advance. Any of you might have noticed that I'm a summer fan. I love the daylight, the heat, the sun shining. I hate rain, cold, winter clothes, etc....
so, now... suppose that this person who hates rain, cold and winter clothes suddenly...one day... decides to move to a country where it rains all year long (stupid decision, hummm?) and where the summer can have as much rain or more as any other time of the year?
this person sufferssssss....but this person also got used to it: one day I woke up and realized that I love this rainy country, almost as much as my Portugal. ahhh...and this person also has a nice trick: runs away to Portugal while in rains here in August. :)
9 months to go for next summer.....counting....

World Trade Center
I went to watch this movie yesterday. The critics I had heard were not that good. however, I'm always more curious when the movie is based on a true story, specially in this case: what this movie shows, no matter how unbelievable it seems, happened for real. probably that's why I ended up touched by it. and probably that's the reason why I think most people will like it.
It is incredible how Oliver Stone managed to focus only on the story of the people who were trapped and of those who went to save them and completely ignored any aspect of the attacks itself or of the terrorists or of any politics. No matter how much I didn't like it at the moment, after thinking about it, I think I understood why Oliver Stone wanted to do it this way: this is the real story of the people who most suffered from this attacks and had nothing to do with this war of hate: people who died down there and families.
but, still, I have to say I liked "United 93" better. however, this movie is certainly also worth seeing.

Quando
Quando o meu corpo apodrecer e eu for morta
Continuará o jardim, o céu e o mar,
E como hoje igualmente hão-de bailar
As quatro estações à minha porta.
Outros em Abril passarão no pomar
Em que eu tantas vezes passei,
Haverá longos poentes sobre o mar,
Outros amarão as coisas que eu amei.
Será o mesmo brilho a mesma festa,
Será o mesmo jardim à minha porta,
E os cabelos doirados da floresta,
Como se eu não estivesse morta.

"The unbearable lightness of being"
....or the unbearable heaviness of being?
only now I gave same thought about this book, which was my summer reading, and found myself asking this question to myself.....or maybe I think too much....

Dias...

Hoje apeteceu-me.

Agassi's last game
A legend played a tennis tournament for the last time today. He cried and said:
"The scoreboard shows that I lost today, but what it doesn't show is what I found.Over the last 20 years I have found loyalty, you have pulled me through on court and also in life. I have found inspiration - you have willed me to succeed - and I have found generosity. I thank you and I will take you and the memory with me for the rest of my life."
I would reply: "Thank you, Andre Agassi for giving us the opportunity to watch you play tennis in such a beautiful and dedicated way and for what you tought to all tennis players. No one can ever replace you."
Today is a sad day for all tennis fans. One of the best tennis players ever left the courts.
As for me...my favourite tennis player "retired". And I wish I had watched the game, so that I could have cried with him before he left.

Back from holidays
And so it was....holidays are over! :(
Back for another year of work (hopefully the last abroad) and back to blogging. Three weeks at the beach was the best remedy to give me some motivation for another year seating in front of the computer. Let's see how long this motivation lasts...
See you next summer, my sea, my sand, my beach!
